I’ll be listening to Lata Hits, and there are so so many, during my travel during Dussehra festivals.

  3. My response to this question will not include any of her so-called hits. Since my hobby is to collect songs from flop movies, here are two of my hot favorites by Lata: (1) Hume Tumse Mohabbat Hai Hamara Intehaan Le Lo (Film: Bad Aur Badnaam) (2) Saajna, Main Sadaa Tere Sang Hoon Yeh Jahaan Ho Yaa Woh Jahaan (I think this is from Dilip Kumar- Saira Banu starrer “Duniya”). Search in Youtube.

  4. A record number of friends SMSed / called to say this song from movie ‘Dil Apna Preet Parai’ (1960), is their favourite.

    They also wished Lata Happy Birthday, in advance.

    I am thankful to Sharmila Tagore for correcting me and telling me that Lata Mangeshkar will turn 80 and not 50 (as I had wrongly written earlier, I am really so sorry for that).
