Pak Army man sells photos related to Osama’s killing to Reuters

A Pakistani military official, who took some photographs inside the house where Osama bin Laden was claimed to have been killed, has sold them to Reuters news agency. The images were taken about an hour after the US Navy SEAL commandos finished their Kill Osama Mission at the secluded house in Pakistan’s Abbottabad town.

The images show three dead men lying in pools of blood. There is no trace of any weapon near them, with blood streaming from their ears, noses and mouths. A close look of the pictures do not confirm if anyone of them resembled al Qaeda chief bin Laden. Time-stamps reveal the pictures were taken on May 2 at about 2:30 a.m.

The news agency appeared confident that the images that it had purchased were “authentic” and were not “tampered”. The graphic photographs of the deaths and injury as posted on Reuters website should be seen under parental guidance. You can also click here to go directly to the Reuters page. I also saw these pics in The Indian Express, Thursday morning.

US President Barack Obama Thursday announced America will not release graphic photographs of Osama bin Laden’s corpse whose clue is yet to be revealed by anyone.

Meanwhile, new details are emerging every hour about the Osama raid at the fortified Pakistani compound.

And though Obama feels that making the images of bin Laden public could incite violence against Americans, I insist he should make them public. Well Mr. Obama, Osama is dead. You only declared. Why fear him, still? Release his photos. They are not for your walls only.
