When big things happen, I often turn to the walls of my computer room. Well, it is certainly not like a WikiLeaks bunker but that every-which thing is certainly there with which I have grown up. You may say… I love myself. And to that degree I also love this photograph of Jayalalitha who has just decimated her rivals, critics, opponents and all pointing fingers in Tamil Nadu this assembly elections. This photo-page from India Today magazine adorns my wall. →
As the writings appear blurred, here is what is actually written on this page:
At the bottom — “I was reluctant to enter politics but MGR forced me to, and now I am in the thick of it. I have no options. But I don’t enjoy politics.” – Jayalalitha Jayaram in 1989.
On her right — Former actor Jayalalitha Jayaram is one of India’s most controversial politicians. MGR’s muse and chief minister of Tamil Nadu three times, her entry into the political arena would not have been possible without him. Her arrest on corruption charges in 1996 was followed by the seizure of 29 kg of diamond – studded gold jewellery, more than 10,000 saris and 750 shoes from her home.
Well, this time she has but turned another great crisis into an opportunity and she did it so quietly, exploiting the public disquiet over the spectrum allocation probe to leave her never failing-87-year-old rival DMK’s M Karunanidhi crying like a kid. Most importantly, her party AIADMK — Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam — and her allies were written off by the pollsters whom she slammed with a 204-seat victory in a 234 member House. All this while, she kept smiling.
History is repeating, and repeating. Public in general are so stuck in a vicious circle.

let us wait, when she joins raja incorporation. they are all the same, i.e. naked underneath their garbs. they work only to bypass the tax payers’ money into their personal accounts wherever they may be in swiss bank or cyprus or elsewhere.
