Legendary Lyricist Shailendra’s entire belongings have been looted from his son Dinesh Shankar’s house in Mumbai.

Film Director Dinesh and his Actor wife Natasha Singh were attacked too in their north Mumbai’s Meera Road bunglow.

It was Dinesh and Natasha’s 31st wedding anniversary on February 21, when over two dozen criminals forcibly entered their house, ransacked it and took away everything.

Narrating the incident, Dinesh said, “I had returned from Delhi the night before. As we are both not too social and so, decided to spend the day quietly at home.

“We were both sitting in the drawing room, when at about 3 pm, suddenly, about 30 people, unknown, entered the house. They were all armed with baseball bats. They threatened us, took away our phones and forced us to sit in a corner.

“In front of our eyes, they started removing all our belongings and loading them in vans which were parked outside.

“In two hours, they had taken out each and everything from the house. They were forcing us to get into the vans.”

Then it so happened that a passerby noticed the commotion and called the police after which the men escaped and the vans drove away. 

One person has been arrested in this connection but the belongings have not been traced till date.
